Conversation with younger son, Bernard, 06-Aug-1994. Milton was an avid
communist. In the late 1930's Mae finally divorced him. Still, it had an
effect on Bernard's carreer. In the 1950's, the hay-day of McCarthyism guilt
by association held back Bernard's opportunities in the military.

The candy store eventually failed because of all the political activities.
Milton remarried, lived in Brighton, Brooklyn.

Bernard lost track of him after Milton and his second wife moved to Los
Angeles.

It is possible that Moise/Milton was a member of the Workman's Circle
landsmanshaftn Bialystoker #88. (NOTE: 16-Sep-1994, more likely the Vitebsk
landsmanshaftn. Moise? Arrival is Michel (e.g. Mikha'eil) \

Re-examining the letter from Stewart Swerdlow and the Manifest. Milton arrived
under the name Mikha'eil (Mikhael). He is the exact age of Yakov's younger
brother, Lev, as noted in Yakov biography by his widow and son. Is it
possible that Lev came to America under the name of his father?
Furthermore, Mikha'eil said he was from Vitebsk (town or gubernia, we don't
know). Lev was born in Nizhi-Nogorod (current Gorkiy) on the Volga
